Southern Michigan Bank & Trust (SMBT) Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer Nick Grabowski is pleased to announce the promotions of Corey Donner, Adam Losinski, Justin Horn, and Deb Davis to Regional Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer. In addition, Harrison Hautau has been promoted to Commercial Loan Officer.

The promotions recognize the experience, leadership, and commitment each individual brings to SMBT and the communities it serves.

“These promotions reflect the depth of talent and experience across our commercial lending team,” said Grabowski. “Corey, Adam, Justin, Deb, and Harrison have each demonstrated a strong commitment to our clients and communities, and they bring the knowledge, leadership, and relationship-focused approach that define Southern. We are excited to recognize their contributions and look forward to their continued success in these expanded roles.”

 

Corey Donner

Donner will oversee commercial lending in Branch and St. Joseph counties. He began his banking career with Southern in 2010 as a Credit Analyst and has since advanced through roles as Senior Credit Analyst, Commercial Loan Officer, Assistant Vice President, and Vice President.

Donner is a graduate of Ferris State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Finance. He has also completed banking courses through the Michigan Bankers Association.

Donner resides in Coldwater with his wife and their three children.

 

Adam Losinski

Losinski will focus on agricultural and rural development lending. He joined Southern in 2008 as a Credit Analyst and has advanced through several roles, including Senior Credit Analyst, Commercial Loan Officer, Assistant Vice President, and Vice President. Losinski earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Western Michigan University.

He resides in Bronson and has one daughter. Outside of work, Losinski serves as a supervisor for the National Corn Growers Association yield contests, volunteers with the Branch Area Careers Center’s Business, Management, Marketing & Technology program through Young Moguls, and helps coach his daughter’s teams through Bronson Youth Sports.

 

Justin Horn

Horn will serve the Kalamazoo/Portage market. He joined Southern in 2021 as a Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer, bringing more than 14 years of lending experience to the bank. Prior to joining Southern, he served as a Senior Credit Analyst at Keystone Community Bank and as a Commercial Loan Officer at Mercantile Bank of Michigan, both in Kalamazoo.

Horn earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Western Michigan University.

He resides in Portage with his wife and two daughters. Horn is active in the community through youth athletics and local volunteer service, including coaching his daughters’ softball teams. He is also a longtime Portage Community Center board member, having served in leadership roles including treasurer and president. In addition, Horn has supported the KGI Gymnastics Booster Club, West Portage Little League, and Moorsbridge Elementary School in Portage.

 

Deb Davis

Davis will oversee the Calhoun County market. She joined Southern in 2007 as a Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer.

Davis brings more than 30 years of banking experience to her role, having previously served as a Branch Manager and Vice President/Branch Officer at other regional community banks. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration/Economics from Spring Arbor College and an MBA from Western Michigan University.

Davis lives in Battle Creek and is active in the community, serving as Board Chair of Summit Pointe, the Calhoun County Community Mental Health Authority.

 

Harrison Hautau

Hautau has been promoted to Commercial Loan Officer and will primarily serve Marshall and the surrounding area. He joined Southern in 2023 as a Credit Analyst before advancing to Commercial Loan Officer.

Prior to joining Southern, Hautau gained experience through internships with GreenStone Farm Credit Services in tax and accounting, Michigan Agronomy in farm management, and Gro Alliance as a field assistant. He is a graduate of Michigan State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Agriculture Business Management degree.

Hautau resides in Marshall and remains active in the community as Treasurer of the Branch-Hillsdale County Pheasants Forever Chapter.
