Lights, Camera, Save!® Teen Video Contest
Southern Michigan Bank & Trust is proud to partner with the American Bankers Association and Visa to bring the Lights, Camera, Save!® Teen Video Contest to our communities.
If you're between the ages of 13 and 18, this is your chance to create a short video about personal finance and compete for national cash prizes totaling $17,500.
Whether you're passionate about saving money, budgeting, protecting your identity, paying for college, understanding credit, or avoiding scams, we want to see your creativity in action.
One 30-second video could earn you up to $10,000
What is Lights, Camera, Save!®?
The Lights, Camera, Save! video contest, sponsored by Visa, is a call for teens to use their imagination to educate themselves and their peers about the value of building sound financial habits before adulthood.
Videos can focus on topics such as:
- Saving money
- Budgeting
- Paying for college
- Credit scores
- Fraud and scam awareness
- Emergency savings
- Any other personal finance topic
National Prizes
🥇 1st Place: $10,000
🥈 2nd Place: $5,000
🥉 3rd Place: $2,500
Total cash prizes awarded: $17,500.
Eligibility
To participate, students must:
- Be between 13 and 18 years old
- Be a legal resident of the United States or District of Columbia
- Submit an original video of 30 seconds or less
- Complete all required contest paperwork and release forms
- Submit their entry through Southern Michigan Bank & Trust before the contest deadline

How to Enter
Step 1: Create an original video (30 seconds or less) about a personal finance topic.
Step 2: Complete the contestant submission form.
Step 3: Upload your video and required documents using the form below before December 1st.
Step 4: Watch for updates as local winners advance to the national competition.
