Southern Michigan Bank & Trust Announces Key Leadership Promotions

 

 

Felicia Landis promoted to AVP, Municipal Officer

Derek Naylor, 1st Vice President, Head of Retail, and Chief Deposit Officer at Southern Michigan Bank & Trust (SMBT), has announced two key leadership updates. Felicia Landis will step into the role of Assistant Vice President, Municipal Officer, and Angela Jeffrey has been appointed Vice President, Coldwater Branch Manager.

Landis joined Southern in 2019 with ten years of experience in the financial services industry. Since then, she has successfully managed three branches with outstanding leadership and dedication, serving Coldwater and the surrounding area. Landis holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminology from Indiana State University and previously served as Branch Manager at Huntington National Bank in Three Rivers.

“Felicia’s new role reflects the expertise and passion she brings to our team,” said Naylor. “Her experience working closely with municipal clients will be a tremendous asset as we continue enhancing our support for local municipalities.”

Landis resides in Coldwater with her husband, John, and their daughter. She is an active member of Altrusa International, where she serves on multiple committees.

 

Angela Jeffrey joins SMBT as VP, Coldwater Branch Manager

Stepping into Landis’ former role, Southern has appointed Angela Jeffrey as Vice President, Coldwater Branch Manager.

Jeffrey brings 27 years of banking experience to her new role. She began her career as an On-the-Job Training student with Century Bank and Trust and went on to hold leadership positions, including Regional Sales Manager and Branch Manager at Flagstar Bank. Most recently, she served as Vice President and Branch Leader at Flagstar Bank in Brooklyn, Michigan. Jeffrey is a Certified Lender and Notary Public.

Lori Neill, Vice President and Retail Branch Administrator, stated, “We’re thrilled to have Angela join Southern as our new Coldwater Branch Manager. Her 27 years of leadership experience, lending expertise, and commitment to community engagement will be tremendous assets to our clients, our team, and the continued growth of the bank.”

Jeffrey resides in Jerome and is an active community member. She has previously served as Treasurer and Board Member for the Irish Hills Regional Chamber of Commerce, President and Board Member for Family Promise of Branch County, and a fundraising committee member for Habitat for Humanity.
