Ray Briner Joins Southern Michigan Bank & Trust

Nick Grabowski, Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer of Southern Michigan Bank & Trust, has announced the appointment of Raymond (Ray) Briner as Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer, serving the Coldwater and Hillsdale markets.

Briner brings more than 17 years of experience in financial services, with an extensive background in credit and lending. Most recently, he served as Assistant Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer at County National Bank in Hillsdale. His previous roles include Assistant Vice President, Private Banking Officer; Senior Credit Analyst; Credit Specialist; and Credit Analyst. Briner holds a degree in Accounting from International Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Briner resides in Hillsdale with his daughter. He is actively involved in the local community, serving as Secretary of the Hillsdale Exchange Club and previously as Treasurer of the Hillsdale County Fair and a Councilmember for the City of Hillsdale. He also enjoys volunteering with his daughter’s athletic teams.
