Tekonsha Youth Center Partnership

Meet Kevin Woodward (pictured on the left), the driving force behind the Tekonsha Youth Center, also known as "The Pit."

Recognizing the need for a safe, positive place for teens after school, Kevin purchased a house near the high school to create a space where students can complete homework, build life skills, connect with others, and simply have a place to belong.

Before opening, the facility still needs several improvements and community support to bring Kevin's vision to life.

SMBT is proud to support this initiative and the positive impact it will have on local youth and the Tekonsha community. We look forward to seeing The Pit become a place where teens feel safe, supported, and inspired.
