Southern Michigan Bank & Trust Announces Appointment of Debbie Mahabir-Poon

 

 

Lori Neill, Vice President and Retail Branch Administrator at Southern Michigan Bank and Trust (SMBT), has announced the appointment of Debbie Mahibir-Poon as Branch Manager of the Bank's Tekonsha and Union City offices.

 

Debbie brings more than 25 years of banking experience to Southern, most recently serving as Banking Center Manager at Old National Bank in Battle Creek. She previously held the role of Assistant Manager at Advia Credit Union and has advanced through several positions during her banking career, including Personal Banker and Teller. She is a Certified Lender and a Notary Public.

"Her extensive experience in branch leadership, customer relationship management, business development, and community engagement makes her an excellent addition to our team. Debbie resides in Battle Creek with her husband, Nigel, and their two children. She is actively involved with the local Chamber of Commerce, school parent-teacher organizations, and several community organizations.
