SMBT Supports Comstock Community Center Capital Campaign

SMBT is honored to support the Comstock Community Center’s Capital Campaign - an initiative aimed at raising $200,000 to construct and equip an auxiliary building that will further the center’s mission to combat food insecurity across the region.

This expansion will consolidate and streamline all food-related programs, including Monthly Senior Commodities, the Food Pantry, and Holiday Food Baskets, into a centralized facility designed for efficiency and long-term service growth.

Through collaborative efforts like this, we can help ensure access to vital resources for families in need and contribute to a more resilient and equitable future for our community.

In the past year, Comstock Community Center proudly distributed 152 holiday food baskets, facilitated 1,020 Senior Commodities pickups, and welcomed 2,662 Pantry visits, collectively reaching and nourishing more than 13,759 individuals across our community. In 2024 alone, they have provided over 100,000 pounds of food to neighbors in need.
